Normandy

Trip to the WWII sites in Normandy, France 28-30 May 2011. Stops included the D-day museum, the Airborne Museum, Iron Mike statue, the American sectors of Utah and Omaha beaches, the Canadian Sector on Juno beach and Point du Hoc, and most humbling of all, the American cemetary - Colleville, with its 9,386 American Soldiers both known and unknown resting here, located just off of Omaha beach, . For those who watched Band of Brothers, we did pass by Brecourt Manor several times, no stops, but wasn't anything there worth photographing.
