Normandy

Trip to the WWII sites in Normandy, France 28-30 May 2011. Stops included the D-day museum, the Airborne Museum, Iron Mike statue, the American sectors of Utah and Omaha beaches, the Canadian Sector on Juno beach and Point du Hoc, and most humbling of all, the American cemetary - Colleville, with its 9,386 American Soldiers both known and unknown resting here, located just off of Omaha beach, . For those who watched Band of Brothers, we did pass by Brecourt Manor several times, no stops, but wasn't anything there worth photographing.

  • I am not sure exactly how this Abbey was laid out since everything was in French. This is a church, and it seemed like every other room I went into was a church. I am not sure if they were all one or if they were different.

  • Third image of a failed panorama. For photographer nuts, I usually don't follow the rule of thirds. i just so happen to like my horizon in the middle, because, well, that's how I see it. Besides, the clouds didn't offer much to look at, nor did the ground.
